For the last few years, OneDa has been running hip hop therapy sessions for east Manchester’s youth, working with Pupil Referral Units, Reform Radio and on the influential Herchester project for womxn, non-binary and transgender MCs across Manchester, Blackpool, Morecambe and Sheffield. Growing up in a musical family that was also highly religious – her Nigerian parents ran their own church and the whole family sang in the choir – led a young OneDa to read music, play trumpet in a brass band, and rap and sing in her own gospel group ‘In Depth’. She also went on to work with influential Manchester hip hop group The Mouse Outfit, building a dedicated audience across the city and beyond.

Right now she’s on a writing roll, generating lyrics for days and bringing her livewire energy to performances across the UK (including recent knock-out shows in London, Brighton and Margate). She’s also broadcasting regular Pussy Power talks and dabbling with fashion design. 2022 is the year OneDa brings her own high vibrations and energy to a global stage, as she seamlessly blends old school and new school vibes through her outputs.
