Composed of producers Frederik Fog (Denmark) and Liza Dries (Netherlands), miaw occupy a space between deconstructed club music, UK bass, shoegaze and ’90s trip-hop. Their sound combines propulsive breakbeats, intricate synthesis and unconventional sampling, blurring the lines between experimental electronics and contemporary songwriting. Following their debut EP, ‘My Petswan’, miaw have built an international following, with their self-released single ‘moving in’ surpassing 100,000 streams in its first week and earning support from Nina Protocol, The Needle Drop, HighClouds, TURTLENEK and Mondosonoro. Their live shows have taken them across Europe, with performances at ESNS, MIL Lisbon, by:Larm and SPOT Festival, alongside tours and support slots with Acopia, Ultra Caro, Lyra Valenza and Jack J.
