Named by her father after the constellation ‘Carina’, the debut EP titled ‘spaceout!’ is more than fitting; not just for the obvious space theme but also because spacing out is something that comes with the struggles of dissociation disorder which the artist has been dealing with her whole life. Music has always been a form of therapy for carina and her mental health has also been the inspiration behind the immersive soundscape she weaves into her music.

Taking inspiration from other young female talents like Tate McRae and Billie Eillish, the artist is fully in the driving seat as she puts music out for herself and not for the accolades or clout. With support in the past from Steve Lamacq’s prestigious BBC Radio 6 show and BBC Introducing, the future looks bright for this young artist.
