Meeting at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn where the pair were studying sculpture and painting respectively, Beacon began writing songs that fused the flair of R&B with undercurrents of dance music, drawing on influences as disparate as Underworld, Jeff Buckley, and Warp’s back catalogue.
With releases on electronic tastemaker labels – Ghostly, Kompakt and Anjunadeep – the duo (AKA Thomas Mullarney III and Jacob Gossett) are now self-releasing their poignant new single ‘Until Next Time’, along with the announcement of their first tour dates since the pandemic. The single arrives ahead of much more music and news to come in 2022.
